Youth Center Information: The Flagler County Youth Center is a recreational facility open to any Flagler County Residents, in grades 7th -12th, Monday- Friday, from 2:00pm -7:00pm. To access the facility everyone needs a Flagler County School ID Card. Transportation to and from the facility is NOT provided.

Student/Youth Advisory Council’s Update: POTENTIAL LEADERS Wanted!  Any current Freshman or Sophomore interested in obtaining leadership skills, as well as valuable Community Service hours, supporting the Flagler County Youth Center, is encouraged to speak with Center Director: Cheryl Massaro, about participating in the 2013-2014 SAC: Student Advisory Council. 

GW Carver Foundation’s On-Line Auction: On-Line auction concluded on Thursday, April 25th. Once again a number of Flagler County residents contributed many wonderful items to auction off, raising money for the Carver Center, and we thank each and every one of them! Close to $5,000 was raised and will be extremely helpful in continuing the growth of the G.W. Carver Foundation and its support of the Carver Center. 

RTS Update: Program Director, Brain Willard, is a happy administrator these days, due to the success of many of the RTS Participants. The “Road To Success” program, is working and many out of school youth, within Flagler County are taking advantage of it.  Just recently, 14 area youth took the GED Test and passed, and each were rewarded a $250 Incentive for succeeding! Applications are now being taken for the 2013-2014 school year, with hopes for the program to continue growing, and assisting out of school youth by providing an opportunity to get their GED, as well as job training and support.

Summer Camp 2013:  Summer Camp Open Registration begins March 4th, 2013.  Open registration, is for any Flagler County, 6th -8th grade youth, wishing to participate in our 8 week summer program. Only 60 campers are accepted into this summer program, with a $125, total registration fee, for the entire Summer Camp. Trips are also available throughout the summer, and participation is based on a pay as you go basis. Trips are scheduled to the following locations: Islands of Adventure, Daytona Lagoon, Epic Movies, IMAX Theater, Bowling, and Typhoon Lagoon, and are available throughout the Youth Center’s summer camp experience. If you would like to participate, do not delay, and register today, before the camp is full!

2013 “Turning It Around” Honorees- Kayleigh Ferguson (FCYC)  & Randy Jones (Carver):   To highlight “Florida’s Youth Success” week, Reverenced Emanuel selected Randy, from Carver and Cheryl Massaro named Kayleigh from the Youth Center, to be honored along with 20 additional County youth.  On Tuesday, April 9th, in the FPC Bistro, Kayleigh & Randy were recognized and received the “Turning it Around” Award, along with a wonderful dinner. A banquet designed to acknowledge area youth who originally made poor choices, and recently turned their lives around to become a positive influence to all those around them, and make good choices. Congratulations Kayleigh & Randy for being FCYC’s & Carver’s 2013 Honorees!  Keep up the good work!
