Summer Program Weekly Up-Date

June 18, 2011 - June 22, 2012

**Daily Front Desk Phone Number: 386-586-5136**

Dear Parents & Guardians:

Good News:  All Campers, Counselors In Training, Volunteers, and Staff have successfully completed two weeks of the Flagler County Youth Center’s Summer Program!

On Monday, we had a normal day at camp, and groups are starting to settle in, and campers are becoming comfortable with each other. Tuesday was the start of FREE Tennis Class! Many campers are taking advantage of learning the lifetime sport of Tennis from Palm Coast’s “Friends of Tennis”. The group is headed by Senior Counselor and FPC Tennis Player, Nick Ohree. Campers taking advantage of this opportunity include: Gabriella, Mike, and Chris Bevacqua, Chandler & Monte Russell, Shane Ford,  and Jordan Pittmon.  It’s still not too late to o sign-up. Anyone interested in playing can sign-up today.

Wednesday was our first BIG trip to Islands of Adventure. The bad news was that the day turned out soggy, with rain falling, from time to time. The good news is that the lines were shorter than normal and everyone had the opportunity to ride lot’s of rides!

Thursday started our Arts & Crafts projects with Ms. Linda. A group of girls made “Bling Bracelets” for themselves and friends. The Bracelets were very COOL, and Bianca Secor, Nicolette Gemelli, Sydnee Sciancalepore, and Gabriella Bevacqua did an awesome Job!

Friday was TREAT day!  Fresh Dunkin Doughnuts for breakfast, Pizza for lunch and ICE CREAM for dessert!  Ymmmmmm, Ymmmmmm GOOD!

In closing, week two was a lot of fun! Please extend our congratulations to your children for a job well done!  Both Shannon & I would like to thank each of you for allowing your child to participate in our program, and in making a super effort to pick your child up before our 5:30pm closing!

Looking forward to and wonderful summer and the continued opportunity to work with you and your child!
