Program Information and Hours: During the school year the  Youth Center is a safe and secure drop-in program; you can relax with friends, play ping-pong or pool, watch TV, read and do homework, play PS4 games, and utilize the large computer lab. Daily hours throughout the school year are: Monday – Friday, 2:00pm – 7:00pm. During the summer we hosted our annual Summer Camp during the hours of 8:00am-5:30pm. The Youth Center is closed on Saturday & Sunday.

Director’s Message:  As September comes to an end and we settle into the school year, the Youth Center is kicking things up a notch! On October 25, the Youth Center will become Mobile!  Look for the Youth Center HotSpot at Matanzas High School from 5:30 - 7:30 Friday October 25! We have lots of exciting things going on at the Youth Center right now.  Make sure you are bringing your progress reports to the youth center and get a reward for good grades on PBS Fridays! Teacher’s, if you are looking for a PBS reward, contact us to book the Youth Center for your classes!  As we enter into fall and cooler weather, there is no better time to come check out the Youth Center than now! Don’t miss out on all the fun!  

Student Advisory Council: The SAC will meet on Monday October 14 and Thursday October 17 this month.  Any student wishing to join needs to contact Mr. Butler via email at [email protected]

Road to Success Program:  The RTS program has reached our 216th  GED to-date, with a 97.5% success rate.  This month we have student interns working at The Flagler Youth Center, Flagler Humane Society, FTI’s Extended Care, Flagler Habitat for Humanity, and Possibly one starting Tom Gibbs Chevy!  Recently students completed workshops for Resume writing and Wells Fargo conducted financial and banking workshops.  DSC reps came in and spoke to our kids about college opportunities and Sayskids conducted a workshop on life skills.  Graduation pics were also done this month, 4H conducted nutrition classes and our students participated in field trips to career source in Flagler and Daytona State College.

Last month we helped 4 students obtain state IDs, paid for 2 drug and alcohol tests, and paid for 1 driver’s license test (and on the same day that student also passed his last test and earned his GED).  Since July 2019, we have enrolled 12 new students.
