The Flagler County Youth Center is open for 6th-12th grade students. Operational hours are 2:00pm-6:30pm. The Youth Center is a fabulous facility for county youth to stop in and socialize for FREE. The only requirement for participation is that every student must scan their Flagler County School ID card to enter. The Youth Center is the result of a unique collaboration between Flagler County & the Flagler County School Board.

On October 1st, we proudly celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the Flagler County Youth Center (FCYC) — a space that has empowered thousands of students since its founding in 2005 through a unique and lasting partnership between the Flagler County Commissioners and the Flagler County School Board.

The celebration highlighted the incredible legacy and ongoing impact of FCYC, with heartfelt remarks from:

✨ Andy Dance – Chair, Flagler County Board of County Commissioners

Speakers were introduced by Brandon Seminara, the current FCYC Director.

Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch from Chick-fil-A and a special anniversary cake! 🎂

Here’s to 20 years of growth, leadership, and opportunity — and to the many more ahead!

There are currently two tailgates planned at the Youth Center. The first one is for Link Crew leaders and 9th-grade students and is being hosted by FPC SGA. The event will take place tomorrow, October 3 (weather permitting).

The second tailgate is being sponsored by the Flagler County Youth Center Student Advisory Council and FPC SGA. It will be open to all students and will take place the evening of the Homecoming game. This event is still being planned. Once it is finalized and a flyer is created, we will share it on our social media pages.

The Youth Center kicked off the new school year with a fun-filled Welcome Back event on September 9th! Students who attended were treated to FREE chicken sandwiches generously provided by Zaxby’s Palm Coast, along with drinks and chips courtesy of the Youth Center. Although the weather had other plans and we had to cancel our outdoor activities, the fun continued indoors with great food, music, and time to reconnect with friends.

A huge thank-you goes out to Zaxby’s Palm Coast for their continued support of our students and programs — your generosity makes events like this possible.

We hope everyone had a fantastic time!

On September 11th, we hosted a PBIS Grade Check celebration to recognize students for their academic success. Those who maintained strong grades were rewarded with pizza, chips, and drinks as a token of appreciation for their hard work.

Then, on September 23rd, we turned up the fun with an exciting Madden Tournament! The competition was fierce, and the winners walked away with free Wawa gift cards as their prize.

Currently the G.W. Carver Center is open daily Monday-Friday with special events on Saturday. Open School Year Open Gym Hours will be 2:00pm-6:00pm.

This program is geared towards seniors in the community, providing them with opportunities for social interaction through games, activities, and other learning experiences. It takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays each month.
