And that’s a wrap on another summer at the Flagler County Youth Center! Between all the field trips, daily games, and tournament play, our campers stayed active, safe, and busy all season long.

Congrats to Team Red for taking home the Red, White, and Blue Tournament title. Enjoy that well-earned pizza party victory!

The Flagler County Youth Center is organized by youth for youth, and is a fun, safe and supervised location for participants to attend. The Youth Center also features numerous activities and programs throughout the entire year.

The Student Advisory Council is seeking new members for the 2026–2027 school year. SAC is the organizing body of the Flagler County Youth Center and is responsible for setting and enforcing facility rules and regulations, as well as creating and participating in various community service events and projects.

Students who participate will earn community service hours, and seniors are eligible to apply for a scholarship sponsored by the Youth Center.

Thanks to the Flagler Schools Transportation Department, we are able to offer a shuttle bus for BTMS students to attend the Youth Center for a limited number of spaces. If you are interested in this shuttle, please fill out an application by clicking here.

Currently the G.W. Carver Center is open daily Monday-Friday with special events on Saturday. Open Gym Summer Hours are 1:00pm-5:00pm. School Year Open Gym Hours will be 2:00pm-6:00pm.

We wrapped up another successful season for the 2026 Great Minds Summer Program! All 45 slots filled quickly, with an average of 25 to 35 K–5 students attending daily, Monday through Thursday, over six weeks.

To combat summer learning loss, our program blended Florida standards in reading, math, and science with exciting hands-on experiences. Campers tie-dyed, made pickles, learned about bees, fireworks, and gardening, hosted a children’s author, took a business tour, attended an auditorium show, performed for their parents, and ended the summer with a fun water day.

Thank you to our amazing teachers, staff, and families for making this summer engaging, educational, and unforgettable!

Our final Senior Social Hour of the summer featured a special guest! Mr. Ed Pruitt, a member of the G.W. Carver Foundation, stopped by with Chick-fil-A lunch for all the ladies. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal and a fun game of bingo while making new friends. A big thank you to Mr. Pruitt and his Edward Jones team!

The Senior Social Hour meets from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting August 11, 2026.

The GW Carver Foundation successfully hosted its School Board Candidates Forum on July 14, 2026. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended and wish all the candidates the very best of luck in the upcoming election.
